Rustic decor in an old building down in the Port of Oakland area. The surrounding area is all industrial so walking is not an option or probably a good idea. If the restaurant is full try the attached Beer Shed where all the beers and most of the menu is available. There's also an attached wine bar but it was closed the night we were there. Everything is served tapas style but the prices are reasonable, around $100 for two of us.
The Dock is a collaboration between James Syhabout, owner of fine-dining Commis, and Adam Lamoreaux, founder of Linden Street Brewery. It is located in Jack London Square overlooking the Port of Oakland. next to Lamoreaux’s brewery, in a historic 1890-era former loading dock. The Beer Shed, a tasting room that offers up a rotating selection of ten guest beers and The Dock is the full service restaurant. The restaurant, according to Syhabout, will focus on serving creative spins on global favorites that pair well with beer. The food shots below include left to right: Fried Fennel & Onion Pedals; Poached Egg Bordelaise and Falafel Waffle.
